Lineage & Training
Animal Reiki is a Reiki approach focused on working with animals in a respectful, consent-based way. Rather than directing energy, you’ll learn to listen with your whole awareness and allow the animal’s comfort and choice to guide the session. Animal Reiki can support animals during stress, transitions, aging, illness, or simply as a way to strengthen connection. The emphasis is on partnership, not control.
Animal Reiki prioritizes the animal’s comfort, autonomy, and timing. You’ll learn how to create a calm, supportive presence and how to recognize subtle cues from different species. The focus is not on fixing or forcing outcomes. It is on offering Reiki in a way that honors the animal’s boundaries and natural intelligence. This training includes specific techniques for in-person and distant sessions with animals of many species.
My Animal Reiki training and certification were completed under ICRT Licensed Reiki Master Teachers. I teach in alignment with the established Animal Reiki class outline in a small, supportive studio setting. Training includes the required placements, techniques, and curriculum for Animal Reiki I & II and, when applicable, Animal Reiki Master. Classes are held in a supportive small-group environment with time for discussion, practice, and integration.
Certification Levels
Animal Reiki 1 & ii
2-Day certification)
Animal Reiki I & II are taught together over two days and include two Animal Reiki placements. You will learn the history and foundations of Animal Reiki, the Animal Reiki symbol, in-person and distant techniques, and how to offer sessions in a way that honors the animal’s consent and comfort. Prerequisite: Reiki II or higher from any lineage.
Animal Reiki Master
3-Day Certification
Animal Reiki Master is a three-day training for those who feel called to deepen their work with animals and become qualified to teach Animal Reiki. This training includes advanced ignitions, practitioner tools, and instruction on how to teach Animal Reiki I & II and Master classes. Prerequisite: Reiki Master for humans and completion of Animal Reiki I & II.
What to Expect
Training is held in a private studio setting in small groups. Each class includes placements or ignitions, lecture and discussion, guided exercises, and practice time working with animals either in person or online. You will be guided step by step through the techniques. Time is built in for questions and integration. Additional practice after class is encouraged to build confidence and experience.
Who This Is For
Animal Reiki certification is for Reiki practitioners who feel called to work with animals in a respectful and heart-centered way. It may be a good fit if you want to support animals in your own home, volunteer settings, shelters, veterinary environments, or professional practice. This path is especially meaningful for those who value consent, compassion, and partnership with animals.
